Nana Ama McBrown is pregnant

Nana Ama McBrown and her husband
Ghanaian actress, Nana Ama McBrown is pregnant, GhanaCelebrities.Com has exclusively been told.

Nana Ama McBrown whose public profile places her at 45 years old married Maxwell Mensah, a few years ago—and we are told the couple are expecting their first child together.

Oddly, Nana Ama McBrown’s pregnancy information comes just a few hours after social media was flooded with rumours that McBrown’s husband has impregnated another Ghanaian actresss-Benedicta Gafah.

While the Benedicta Gafah and Maxwell pregnancy story seems implausible, it makes the McBrown pregnancy which sources close to her have confirmed to GhanaCelebrities.Com a little off the beat. We cannot, therefore, put a confirmed seal on it, as we always do.

Whatever it is, you cannot hide pregnancy—and therefore we will get to see it soon.

We are also told McBrown will fly abroad to delivery like many of our celebrities have done.

Congrats to McBrown and let’s hear the religious folks shout: to God be the Glory!

'Countryman Songo's doctorate degree is 'fake' – Accreditation Board

Countryman Songo was rewarded for his contribution to the Ghanaian media landscape
It, therefore, cautioned dignitaries who have been awarded by the said institution with the so-called honorary degrees to desist from using such titles to avoid exposing themselves to unnecessary embarrassment and ridicule.

Recent award

The Riches Theological College and Clergy Council recently awarded Adom TV’s Fire 4 Fire presenter, Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as Country Man Songo a doctorate degree in humanity.

It also awarded Nana Yaa Brefo, also of Adom TV a doctorate in Journalism and Humanity.

However, a statement signed by the Executive Director of the NAB, Dr Kingsley Nyarko, said the institution is not mandated to give such awards.

Explaining further, the statement said, “This is one of such instances where some foreign institutions confer such honorary degrees, particularly doctorate degrees on prominent personalities with intent to legitimize and popularize the operations of the institutions in Ghana, and thereby seeking to attract unsuspecting students to enrol them.

“It must be made clear that universities and other tertiary education institutions which are unaccredited by the relevant authorities in their home countries cannot be authorized to award any degree - regular or honorary in Ghana,” the statement said.

Reminder

It reminded the public that the conferment of honorary degrees was the prerogative of degree awarding institutions so mandated.

“Therefore, non-governmental organizations, unaccredited institutions and accredited private tertiary institutions operating under the mentorship of chartered degree-awarding universities are not qualified by themselves to confer honorary degrees. Any such institutions that do so will be in contravention of Regulation 19 (1) of the Tertiary Institutions (Establishment and Accreditation) Regulation, 2010 (L.I. 1984) which states that:

“An accredited institution shall not issue certificates or award its own degrees, diplomas or honorary degree without a charter granted to it for that purpose by the President,” it said.

The NAB cautioned all distinguished personalities invited for such awards, to verify the accreditation status and degree-awarding powers of the institutions that seek to confer on them honorary degrees to avoid any embarrassing fallouts.

It said any “person/group that accepts any degree from this/such entity does so at the peril of being a subject of ridicule and contempt”.

The National Accreditation Board (NAB) says the Riches Theological College and Clergy Council has not been accredited to award any form of degree, be it regular or honorary in the country.

Strika was not paid GHC 10,000 for his role in ‘Jungle Justice’ – Manager

Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye says he prefers to hustle on the streets
Strika became a topic for discussion yesterday after he was found on the streets begging for money instead of being in school. In an interview he granted to Ghone TV, he confessed that he was not interested in schooling, but wants to hustle on the streets.

After being featured in a ‘Hollywood’ movie, where he played the role of a child soldier, broken by war and whittled down to an unforgiving killer, one would expect that he would be living the life just like the main character, Abraham Attah who now lives in the States.

The producers of the movie, although did not owe him any welfare, were touched by his plight when they learned he was an orphan and a school drop out, enrolled him in a Montessori school in Cape Coast together Abraham Attah and one other actor in the movie called Justice.

But Emmanuel, aka Strika, felt, his destiny was to be on the streets and hustle, so run away from the comfortable environment he was enjoying at the school. In his interview, he revealed that he was featured in a movie titled ‘Jungle Justice’ after Beasts Of No Nation and was paid Ghc10,000, but was told the money was used to buy him a suit for one event.

Some social media users, were shocked and blasted his guardians for blowing a whopping Ghc10,000 on just a suit as according to Strika but it seems Strika was confused and didn’t know exactly how much he was paid for the yet to be premiered movie, ‘Jungle Justice’ featuring top stars like Yvonne Nelson and John Dumelo.

Mawuko Kuadzi, the man Strika mentioned as his current manager has refuted his client’s statement that he was paid Ghc10,000 for his role in ‘Jungle Justice’ in an interview with blogger Zionfelix.

According to Mawuko, Strika was paid Ghc1,000 for his role in the movie and not Ghc10,000 as he told the media. He disclosed that the movie was produced by Ghone’s Regina Van-Helvert and she had explained to him that, it was a short film and so they had a low budget for it, the reason why they accepted that amount.

Ebony's father denies making profit from daughter's funeral ceremony

Father of late Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns
Nana Opoku Kwarteng has been on the receiving side after making a comeback into the media and fighting over proceeds from Ebony’s tribute concert.

He has been on the headlines for the past few weeks after leveling some shocking allegations against Ebony's manager and CEO of Rufftown Records, Ricky Nana Agyemang popularly known as Bullet .

According to Mr. Nana Opoku Kwarteng , he only received GHC 2000 from the tribute concert and expressed how he felt cheated.

After making such allegations against Bullet, some social media users calculated all the funeral donations that were publicly made which amounted to GHC 700,000.

However in an interview with Abeiku Santana on 'Atuu' show , he denied making profit and said that he made a loss instead.

According to him , he cannot remember the amount he received from donations.

“It’s so sad I don’t remember the amount I received from donations but hope that I will compile the list someday.

No one has ever made a profit from a funeral. There’s much more than what you saw. We used the money for what we are supposed to.
Ebony's father also used the platform to advise those who are 'bashing' him for leveling allegations against Bullet to desist from that since they don't know the genesis of the issue at hand .

LIFESTYLE: Using and dumping people can cost your future - Counselor Adofoli

Human beings are spirits; you call for their wrath when you defile them. This is why no one should mislead, deceive or manipulate their fellow human being in the name of relationship or love. You defile a human when you ‘use’ them. Humans are to be loved. If you are fond of having sex with others and dumping them once you are done, be careful. If you are in the habit of using others for your needs and once you are done, you drop them, be careful.

If you are a man and agree to date or be in a relationship with any lady in the name of marriage, it means you are making the lady a prophetess in your life. Their words have a huge impact on your life; their encouragement, counsel and prayers contribute to your success in life. How far you go in life as a man determines the kind of woman in your life. What they say has the power to come to pass.

This is why you have to be careful in selecting the right kind of woman as your partner. This means it’s not anything you are attracted to that you go for; it isn’t everything which looks appealing that you go for. You don't just use a woman and dump her. It is like dumping your destiny or future because you might cause her to speak words which you don't want to come to pass.

Women are powerful, and its time the young men of today know so they don't get involved with any woman when they know very well they have no plans of settling down with them.

Young pastors or ministers, who are luring ladies into a relationship in exchange for help, please be careful. Just as you call them your destiny helper, they have the power to become your destiny destroyer because you have given them access in the first place.

And if you are a lady who dates men for just your needs or help, be very careful. Men are sources, they are fathers. When you agree to be in a relationship with him, you are making him your source or father.

If you take his provision and protection for granted and take advantage of him, and make him go through pains, his curses come to pass because you submitted to that authority when you agreed to be with him.

The duty of the man is to love and cherish the woman in your life, not to abuse, use and dump her. The same way the woman is supposed to submit to your authority and not to fool or manipulate you.

No one likes used and dumped things, not to talk of being used and dumped by the one who claimed he or she loved you. If you can't be good to that man or woman you want to be in the relationship with, please don't waste their time, deceive, use and dump. They are better off without your lies.

Our today is a reflection of our future, what you send out today will come back to you tomorrow. What you sow today, is your harvest tomorrow, what you give today, you will get it tomorrow. So to avoid curses, choose to bless others today. Be real, be transparent, be a lover.

In conclusion "You cannot fool God, so don’t make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant" - Galatians 6:7 (CEV).

Please share with your friends, someone out there needs this.

I'm disappointed in Bullet; He thinks he made Ebony – Lawyer Maurice Ampaw

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw
Outspoken Law practitioner, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has joined the Starboy Kwarteng vs Bullet brouhaha, revealing that he is disappointed in the artiste manager.

According to the Lawyer, though he shares the sentiments of the CEO of Rufftown records who is also the manager of the late Ebony Reigns, he is however disappointed in him.

He argued that Bullet has from all indications recovered from Ebony’s loss whilst the father of Ebony from all indications, hasn’t recovered from his daughter’s loss.

Ebony was so dear to his father and a mineral to Mr Opoku Kwarteng who had to lose his queen to an accident. Ebony on the other hand, though not blood related, was the best artiste Bullet has ever managed, from her brand to her style and stage craft.

In an interview with Mike Two host of Adom Entertainment hall, the Lawyer expressed his disappointment in Bullet as he addressed the issue that has been the talk of Gh.

“I am disappointed in Bullet. Emotionally from all indications, Bullet has recovered from what happened to Ebony, but emotionally, Ebony’s father hasn’t recovered. I have had countless conversations with the man, and you can see he hasn’t recovered from his daughter’s loss and is still mourning the daughter”, he said.

“Age is also cashing in on the man and he is getting older. Between Bullet and Ebony’s dad, Ebony’s dad likes Ebony the most since she was everything to the man. Bullet is just a stranger and a manager”, he added.

According to Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, Bullet should have been patient when the man (Starboy Kwarteng) shared his grievances on air. In addition to that he narrated that Bullet feels he made Ebony, hence Ebony owes him the accolade for making her who she is hence has the right to address Ebony’s issues however he wants but has failed to recognize that Ebony’s father gave birth to, and is the biological father of the female artiste.

He advised that Bullet should have confronted Mr Opoku Kwarteng in an amicable manner rather than making this a media war.

Strika of ‘Beast of No Nation’ now a beggar at Kaneshie yam market

Strika with Abraham Attah on the set of ‘Beast of No Nation’
It has emerged that the kid who played Strika in the infamous ‘Beast of No Nation’ movie that shot the likes of Abraham Attah to international stardom is now a beggar on the streets of Accra.

A Facebook user by the name Caleb Nii Boye made this sad revelation on his Facebook on Monday morning MyNewsGh.com sighted.

It read; “I am sad this morning. I was heading to the Ghana Institute of Journalism campus and I met Striker. You would ask who is Striker? Striker starred in the movie Beast of No Nations. The said film that made Abraham Attah. Today I met him begging for money on the road leading to GIJ. I called him and brought him to campus. Speaking to him he tells me he now works with a gentleman who sells Yam at Agbogbloshie Market. He stays with his grandma at North Kaneshie”.

This comes as a shock since Kobina Amissah-Sam in an interview with MzGee on Hitz FM in 2016 said all the kids who took part in the movie have been well taken care of.

He is reported to have said “They have not been forgotten, they have really been taken care of. They are not lacking now as they used to so everything is cool for them now. He has never been in school before but after the production, producers of the movie felt that they have to put him in school. I don’t think that it is Netflix that is taking care of them, it is the producer who wants to help the kids. He is taking care of the three kids, Abraham, Striker and there is one other guy called Justice who stepped on Agu’s head when he was caught”.

I sacrificed my marriage for acting – Christiana Awuni

Christiana Awuni, Actress
Actress Christiana Awuni says she gave up on her second husband when he asked her to stop acting and make time for their marriage.

The Kumasi-based actress explains her ex-husband failed to understand the demanding nature of the acting job which takes her out of home on several occasions – making her have little time for the marriage, hence he started having issues with her.

Now that I’m here in Accra and don’t know when I’ll be returning to Kumasi, imagine I’m married. He didn’t understand that,” the Actress said in an interview on the Delay Show.

She added, “He asked me to choose between acting and marriage. I chose acting because I was an actress when he met me. That led to the divorce. It wasn’t because I was arrogant.”

Kumasi-based Ghanaian actress, Christian Awuni has revealed she once went to embattled doctor, Dominic Obeng Andoh of Advanced Body Sculpt Centre known as Obengfo Hospital to reduce her “heavy” backside.

According to Christiana Awuni, she was compelled to get her buttocks reduced about six years ago because it was too heavy for her to carry.

Christiana Awuni made these revelations in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show.

“I went to Obengfo to reduce my buttocks because it was weighing me. After going through all the necessary procedures, he charged me GHC30, 000. I told him I’ll come back but I never did,” she said.

Asked why she wanted to get her backside reduced when others are looking for means to make theirs bigger, the actress said she wanted to look “smart”.

“I wanted to be smart. It was too heavy for me. I used to be fat but I tried working out that’s why I’ve reduced a bit. Men worry me sometimes because of my backside but I just don’t pay attention to them,” she explains.
Owner and doctor in charge of the Advanced Body Sculpt Centre known as Obengfo Hospital was recently charged with murder by an Accra Magistrate Court following the death of Stacy Offei Darko.

Divorced couples worse than armed robbers – Prophet Kumchacha

Married couples who divorce due to reconcilable differences are candidates for hell more than armed robbers, controversial prophet, Nicholas Osei popularly known as Kumchacha has said.

According to him, God in Malachi 2:16 stated unequivocally that, for I hate divorce!” says the LORD, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty”.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Kanawu show hosted by Kwame Oboadie, the controversial prophet said God’s intention is for marriages to last forever.

He has blamed incessant divorce cases, especially among Christian couples on lust and lack of due diligence on the part of the men.

Prophet Kumchacha who is the Founder and Leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries cited how men will quickly marry a woman just because she has big breasts and buttocks and not even care about her character.

“A man will see a lady’s buttock and will be shaking all over. the next moment he will marry her without counselling and she will give him trouble,” he fumed.

Prophet Kumchacha urged the youth to imbibe the value of chastity to ensure that their marriages were strengthened and lasted till death.
