“Those Wishing Me Dead Will Die Before Me”- Kyeiwaa

Popular Kumawood actress Akua Ataa Kyeiwaa affectionately called Kyeiwaa is accusing colleagues in the creative arts industry of wishing her dead.

She alleges that they are those behind her death rumors indicating after failing to bring her down in a purported failed marriage, they are up in arms employing all manner of tactics to make her unpopular.

“Those spreading my death rumors are my colleagues in the movie industry. They are the same people who went and concocted stories that I have snatched someone’s husband and even coached the woman as to what to say”, she revealed.

According to her, the persons behind the false publication will soon incur the wrath of God considering how prayerful she has been and will ensure that her enemies are shamed.

It was reported over the weekend that versatile local actress died as a result of food poisoning and her body had been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) mortuary pending autopsy.

But the veteran award winning actress who has been absent from the screens for some time, revealed from her base in the USA that she is in Cleveland a major city in Ohio on a holiday and not dead as reported.

“Those wishing me dead will die before me”, she added.

Shatta Wale

According to him, it is a personal decision he took and has never been in a rehab to check his addiction to the band substance, adding that he’s prepared to have his blood tested by a certified doctor to prove to persons who doubt his claim.

It is common knowledge that some artists smoke marijuana to energize them and enable them give off their best of performances prior to shows. The likes of former hiplife artist turned Pastor Lord Kenya has admitted that he used to smoke marijuana just before he mounts a stage to perform.

Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Starr FM Wednesday, Shatta Wale who stated that he decided to quit smoking becuase he realized there was no need as he’s already hyper when he goes on stage.

“I told myself certain things and I was like I need to continue with my career and I really want to grow up well. Once is a while…that one I will not lie, when I’m in the studio I just want to take a cigerrete and I think that is okay for now, not to do it so much.”

Shatta Wale noted that he’s taken to his songs to preach about drug abuse.

I'm Waiting On The Holy Spirit To Drop Another Hit Song - Lord Kenya

Evan. Lord Kenya
It's been six years since any hit song was heard from Lord Kenya, but the Hiplife artiste now evangelist, Lord Kenya, says he has not quit music. However, as has been his guide since becoming ‘born again’, the hitmaker is waiting for the green light or inspiration from the Holy Spirit to release another hit.

“I came out with my first gospel album when I became born but I am just waiting for the green light from the Holy Spirit who directs me to drop another album.”“When I dropped my first gospel album there were those who thought I was doing it for money but God has proven that He has genuinely called me for his work, once the time is up and He gives me the green light, I will drop more gospel songs.”

Lord Kenya revealed this to Showbiz last Friday when he outlined activities to mark his sixth anniversary since he surrended his life to Christ. He said he is grateful to God for how far He has brought him and he intends to continue with his calling, “the journey so far has been one of a kind, God calls everyone for a purpose, mine is purposely to win souls.”

“Whenever a soul is won, He forgives and heals them of their diseases. It’s been a journey that I am the only one who can talk about it because it’s been unique,” he said.

As is to be expected, the journey has not been without challenges and Lord Kenya shared it with us, “I have to pray against bitterness, from where I am coming from and what God is using me for, some men of God are not happy about it.”“Also, some of the people I was close to are not being nice to me anymore so if I am not careful, I will be bitter, so that is something I always pray against,” he said.

Going forward, Lord Kenya said soul winning is the ultimate for him, “Once you get to Heaven, you will be given crowns based on the souls you have won.”He currently leads the Face of Grace fellowship in Kumasi and says God is moving and working in mysterious ways in his ministry, “We meet every Friday in the morning and Sunday in the evening.”

According to Lord Kenya, he has lined up activities to mark his sixth anniversary from tomorrow, October 25 to October 30, “my calling was actually on the October 28 so the programme has been planned to include my special day.”There will be a revival each night at the church premises, Face of Grace located at Ahodwo, Kumasi near Melcom from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

“On the 28th we will have the War Night and it is a fight to get what is rightly yours. We will be interceding for Ghana for election 2016,” he explained.Children will not be left out of the celebrations as there will be a kids party on Saturday, October 29. The climax will be on October 30 where there will be a Thanksgiving Praises and Worship evening from 5.30pm to 8pm.

Ministering with Lord Kenya will be Bishop Bernard O-Ansah from Holland, Lawyer William Kusi from Dominion Chambers and Apostle Sampson Offen.Song ministration will be led by Pastor Joe Beecham, Uncle Ato, Jack Alolome, Rev. Enoch Akwaboah, Agnes Opoku Agyeman, Agape Incoporated, Keith Collingwoode Williams and Morris Babyface.

Interestingly, the theme for the celebration is “God does not wear watch” and this is what Lord Kenya had to say in explanation, “Humans  try to limit you to the things you can do but God does not wear watch. God does not think like us.”

Lord Kenya used the opportunity to invite everyone to be part of the celebrations, “I am urging everyone to be part of the celebration especially my die-hard fans, they should all come and celebrate with me,” he said.

NPP Will Suffer Their Worst Electoral Defeat Ever - John Dumelo

John Dumelo
Actor John Dumelo has said the NPP will suffer their worst electoral defeat ever in the December polls.

According to him, majority of Ghanaians are very impressed with the performance of the Mahama-led government in the last four years and as such, are not interested in the change message of the elephant family.

Speaking at the parliamentary campaign launch of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, at Aveyime in the North Tongu constituency of the Volta region, Mr. Dumelo urged party supporters to work and prepare for another NDC victory in the December polls.

“This year will be the worst performing year for the NPP when it comes to the election. They will get the lowest vote ever because Ghana is deciding and Ghana has decided, [to retain the NDC]. So what kind of change are they talking about when we see all the projects around, and they say change is coming. That means the change is backward and we want forward change,” the movie star told the mammoth rally on Sunday.

Okudzeto Ablakwa who is seeking a second term in parliament said Voltarians will not be swayed by the unimpressive promises of the NPP, as they are already witnessing massive development under the NDC government.

He lampooned the key campaign promises of the NPP, such as, one-district-one-factory, one-village-per-dam and one million dollars for each constituency, noting that, such promises cannot match the value of investment Ghanaians have benefited in the first term of President Mahama.

“In North Tongu, we are not impressed with the NPP’s promise of one million dollar per constituency because in the road sector alone, president Mahama has invested more than 70 million dollar [in this area].

The community day SHS which we are befitting from, one is valued at Ghc 7 million that is far more than a million dollars.

If it is about the one-village-one-dam, we already have modern irrigation facilities with underground canals, so can’t leave more or less,” Mr. Ablakwa, who is also a Deputy Minister of Education, has illustrated.

He however entreated the party’s rank and files to eschew complacency and propagate the good deeds of the government so as to achieve the 97 percent votes target for him and the President in the area.

The ‘Ablakwa 2016’ campaign launch was graced by host of government functionaries and party stalwarts from the national and regional secretariats.

I Rejected Bag Of Money From Event Organizers - Lord Kenya

Evangelist Lord Kenya
Ex-hiplife star christened the Hiplife Heavy Weight now Evangelist Lord Kenya, has revealed he recently rejected a bag full of cash from some event organizers to return to secular music.

According him, the unnamed organizers had planned to make him the guest artiste of three shows to be staged at the Accra, Kumasi and the Tamale sports stadiums within a stipulated period but he had to turn down the offer because it conflicted with his current beliefs.

“They came with a bag of cash and wanted me to return to secular music and feature in three shows in Tamale, Kumasi and Accra. Even though the amount was tempting considering the volume, I rejected the money and told them forward ever, backwards never”, he stated on Abusua Nkomo.

Evangelist Lord Kenya reveals that he now finds joy in Christ and nothing will compel him to return to his past adding that he cannot easily be swayed by worldly desires.

“No amount of money or material things can pay for the peace I have now. I feel happy and fresh in Christ because God has been merciful”, he said.

The former award winning hiplife heavy weight who is commemorating years of his repentance who justified his decision not to return to the ‘world’ said ‘the Bible says the one who has taken the word of God has accepted the ultimate’
